Cool. Are you going to propagate the flower stalks or let them go to seed?

FYI - Matt and Leah have a good article and video about pollinating Venus flytrap flowers here.

Hello! My BFF has a Venus Fly Trap (Named Vinny) Vinny is flowering! She said she may need to cut the flowers off because she heard they can kill Vinny! Is this true? If she doesn't cut them off will poor little Vinny die?

Not entirely true. Flytraps expend a lot of energy growing flowers and producing seeds. For a healthy flytrap, it isn't a problem, but it does slow down the growth. Cutting it when it is very short can conserve some of that energy. Last season I cut all of my flowers off and rooted the stalks. They still seemed to stall a bit when I did that. This season I am letting most of them flower and try to compare the differences in growth. Not scientific, but I'll get am idea of how beneficial it is for me.
