Hi! I just bought a venus fly trap today, as the flies in my room were driving me insane!!! Anyway, I was wondering, if mine doesn't go into dormancy, will it reproduce so I still have a plant a few years from now, or will that kill the "babies" too? Please let me know! Thanks! :)

Flytraps don't control insect population. As, dormancy yes, it does need to go dormant! During the spring it should produce a flower stalk. Usually it starts producing little plant-lets near the mother rhizome and they can go dormant too.

My plant inside has actualy cought a few small bugs on its own, but it is unlikely your plant will grow fast enough to reproduce and stay alive.

you should really think about dormancy. your plant will be much healthier. it might reproduce or separate so that the whole plant wont die.
