Hi guys! I’m from Laguna, Philippines. Recently brought in my VFT from a vacation in Sydney, Australia.

I keep the plant indoors near the window. But my room hardly gets direct sunlight except early in in the morning from 7am to 8am.

What I do is point an LED light at night or when it gets gloomy during daytime. I attached a picture of my pet plant.

Hope you guys can give me tips given my situation. Thanks everyone! :)

Hello fellow southeastasianeer! I am very close just south of you in Indonesia! Nice VFT you got there! Certainly better than mine  !!

You need to give them a little dormancy at this time of year by lowering temps, decreasing length of day, and watering a tad less. I have not brought mine into normal regular dormancy because it is still recovering from a few things but I might do a 1 month dormancy.

It looks like yours is sending a flower stalk! You will have seeds, but if you don't want them, cut the stalk.

Once mere VFTs do not satisfy your eternally growing hunger for CPs, you can move to Nepenthes and Drosera, which grow well in my land.

Good luck on your quest fellow southeastasianeer!
