This isn't really an answer to your question because I haven't grown 16 or 17, but I can tell you G14 (rosetted) has been amazingly vigorous - at least twice as vigorous and prolific as any of the 20 or so other cultivars I have grown. It colors up pretty easily and frequently shows a red stripe along the outside edge of the traps. For me its traps are usually about 1/2" - 3/4".

16 and 17 blow 14 away, IMO.
Some have said 17 is their largest and most vigorous Flytrap.
If you look at Matt's G16 photo on the store site, you'd be hard-pressed to find a larger or more colorful flytrap.
