Hi all! My flytrap is growing grass & I'm not sure if it's safe for my plant. Is it harmful to the plant? Should I get rid of it? If so what's the safest way to do so?

Oh good, its not spread out yet. Grab it as close to the base as possible with one hand, and hold down the media around it with the other. Then gently pull/wriggle it out. Do this slowlyish to make sure you get the whole/most of the grass root system. Grass is no good for VFT's, it grows very fast and it will become a nightmare of tangled roots. Creating a problem for cleaning and separating your plants when repot time comes.

The grass is growing from (grass) seeds that ended up in your media. I would recommend you to pull it out. It probably will not cause any harm to your flytrap directly but it is aesthetically displeasing and could cause minor hassle during repotting. Just grasp the grass from the base, hold down the media with your other hand, and gently pull it out. Good luck!
