Late last Summer, Nauz sponsored a Cephalotus giveaway which I won. Here are a few update photos. It is currently growing a second adult pitcher after growing a few Winter non-carnivorous leaves. It's a nice looking typical and colors up wonderfully under the MarsHydro 300s.

Thank you again Nauz!

Good growing,
Mike

Mike that is one nice looking plant, can't believe how much it has grown from a root cutting.

Here's another update.

I repotted him over the Winter in a 1:1 Peat:Perlite mix with Silica Sand top dressing in a 5 inch pot.
It looks like he is developing a couple of new growth points underground.
The color looks good and the plant's overall health appears to be great. The new growth hasn't colored up yet and is smaller than last Summer's and Fall's growth. I admit to only zapping it with MaxSea once over the Winter.
Here are a few photos, front, back, and top, taken today.

Thank you again Nauz!
It was a great giveaway.

I am considering ripping off a pitcher, propagating a new plant from it, and doing a giveaway with the result to pay you forward.

Quick edit: I pulled off two non-carnivorous leaves, getting a piece of the stem/root with them. I stuck them in a 50:50 Peat:Perlite mix in a sealed condiment container. Let's give them two or three months and see if I have anything to give away at that time.

Good growing,
Mike
