Hello, I germinated the Aliciae seedlings indoors under T8 lights in a humidity dome. I decided to put them outdoors. I opened the humidity dome each day for one hour, until I opened it completely. The cotyledons turned darker in color after moving them outdoors. I use a 80% shade cloth in the morning when the sun comes out. Is there anything to worry about? I'm wondering if I will lose them. The cotyledons doesn't look green at all and that worries me.

I left them in sun for 1 hour for a couple of days (9 to 10AM in the morning) then when I noticed how dark they suddenly turned I started using the shading cloth. Now I only give them shade.

They look pretty good to me. With direct sun, Drosera tend to look Red and Bronze, instead of Green. If you're concerned, leave them in open shade, for example on the North side of your house. They'll get enough light to grow but will remain Green.

Good growing,
Mike
