I have also put it on a nepenthes mode and it made a slight bump. I also put it on the base where I accidentally snappped the basal of but I haven't seen anything there yet

Btw, I know we're talking about live stalks, but FYI, I have used it on cut flower stalks and have seen no difference.
Pull back the protective sheath around the nose, I made this mistake of just pulling it off but you can't because you need to see a little green numb in there, if you don't then you snapped off the node. From there put on keiki paste and enjoy after about a year or two a new plant.

Wait are you talking about the keiki paste always working for you on orchids or VFT's?

Definitely orchids there are no nodes and node sheaths on a vft. Keiki paste is only effective on certain orchid varieties and then it's hit and miss let alone on completely different species.
