Man, it's so weird seeing pictures of my old collection again, really brings back memories!

It's been quite a while since I've been active on the forum, so I feel a little explanation is in order. I completely quit the CP hobby a few years ago, after losing much of my collection to a combination of neglect and various pests over a few months, I lost all interest but last summer I got back into CP's and have been rebuilding my collection since. This time I decided to try a terrarium setup made from a 93 gallon cube aquarium that wasn't in use, and so far I'm pleased with the results! I've been getting great growth on all my plants and some of my masdevallia orchids have actually decided to bloom after looking pitiful this summer in the heat. I hope to update this thread regularly again, these pics are a few weeks old and I'll try and get some new ones up this weekend.

A few pics to hold you guys over,

I'm going to be doing a full update of the terrarium in a few days, I have some stuff in the works that will likely change the setup a bit. For now though, we finally had some sun so I took some of the plants out and got some better photos! I guess it helps when you're not trying to take a photo through water-spotted glass!

This was hiding in the back of the pot, what a nice surprise!

These are actually all highlanders, I can't grow lowlanders to save my life. My temperatures, especially in winter, are too cold to keep them happy.

What lights do you use? BTW, your plants are extremely pleasing to the eyes.

Back in the day I used mainly T-12 shop lights and incandescent lights that were supposedly designed for growing orchids (I forget the name of them). They worked but were highly inefficient for the wattage. I now use only T-5 fluorescent fixtures for my CP's and orchids.

I really need to get some new pics, the setup has changed quite a bit since I last updated.
