Ask questions about how to grow and care for Venus Flytraps

I have found a slightly sandy crystal substance on my Venus fly trap's soil this morning, is it harmful or could it just be nothing? I will replant it in a couple of months anyway, just making sure if I need to replant now. It may not show on the pictures.

It could be minerals left behind as the water evaporates from the soil. Do you top water or use the tray method?

I'd suggest giving it a good flush from the top just in case it is minerals building up.

I'll repot it tomorrow if it's mineral buildup, the plant doesn't even seem to be very alive, I'll check the rhizome.

Your plant is dormant, so that is why it is showing little growth. And with the substance, you should either flush it like KK said, or repot with new soil.
