Here are some photos of my two flytraps, taken two days ago. The larger one, King Henry, got sunburned when I first put it outdoors this year and I haven't trimmed those leaves off yet since parts of them are still green. Then for a while I had some sort of bugs eating their way out of my traps, and then also the grasshoppers were munching on my plants like salads. But I think I've finally found a place outdoors for them where there are less harmful bugs and still full sun for most of the day. I'm hoping they perk up now if the bugs will leave them alone! I'm not sure why some of the new traps on Henry are already turning black though. (BTW: I don't keep the moss this wet all the time, this was right after I watered them so they look really soaked)

Stupid trap-eating bugs...why can't they leave my plants alone! My plant finally grew a large trap after being sunburned earlier this summer, and the first bug it caught chewed through and escaped. So frustrating!!!

That's actually pretty normal. I get the best coloring on my flytraps when it's starting to cool off with a little bit less light. Mid growing season some of my plants have nearly no color, besides green of course.
