Hello all, I have been having a problem with crane flies in my nepenthes terrarium, what can I do to keep them from continuing. I just repotted everything because I had read that the eggs are in the roots, but they still came back. Anyone know something I can do to prevent them?

Throw a few capensis in there too and watch them die.

Or just but some screen on it to keep them out. If you mean there are larvae in your soil...well you can try an insecticide.

I think I would like to stay away from insecticides, and yeah they must have eggs somewhere, but when I repotted everything I didn't see anything. But would any drosera be suitible? I have never grown one but it would be nice to try it out.

The capensis in one of my windowsill pots (in this pic) had an "all you can eat buffet" on craneflies. I'm quite certain that it was not all they could handle though hehe
