Every year these pop up all over my yard. Crocus... Seem so dainty and fragile, yet I have seen them push up right through the snow.
Another of Mother Nature's miracles. Look around and truly see....
and you never know what might show up without any assistance.. :D
And as always thanks for taking a peek. :D

Is that what those are? I've been trying to get those to stop coming up in my rose of Sharon bed. The people who owned the house before planted these and tulips in that bed. I keep moving them every year to my gladiola bed. They are some persistent little boogers! They are pretty though.

I love crocuses (or croci!). They are awesome little plants and I love the way their flowers open when the sun hits them and closes when it goes away.

I made a time lapse video of them a few years ago. It wasn't the best day to do it because the sun was out most of the day and they didn't open and close much, but here it is anyway:

This year the freakin' deer ate all of the flowers, so we didn't have any croci :( Hopefully we get some next year if the deer can find something else to eat!

I didn't even realize that they did that, so of course I had to run outside and look and sure enough they were all closed up.. Learned something new. Now I like them even more. Cool video Matt... :D
