I just got back from the post office where I found out we had a returned order. Evidently the person who ordered it moved and left no forwarding address -- at least that's what the sticker on the returned box stated.

Anyway, I thought I'd post a couple of photos of what a flytrap looks like that's been growing in complete darkness for 3 weeks. This is a young-adult B-52 Venus flytrap. It has shed a couple of traps, which are now black. And you can see one trap had started forming before it was put in the box, as it's only slightly deformed. In addition to that one trap, it also put up two other completely new traps (the thin, spindly things!), along with a flower stalk (looks almost the same as the two new leaves!).

This guy was busy in his dark box! I guess he was bored :)
