Here are a few pics of my plants enjoying some fish food flakes. They eat it quickly but I don't know the affect of the fish food yet and I will update. I got the idea from reading that others feed the flakes to nepenthes, but I doubt I am the first.

Let me know what you think, and what do you guys feed your drosera?

I also learned that from another member of a different forum. He uses fish pellets.

Cool, I use the pellets for the pygmies I have. What type is the plant in the first pic? The curl3 pic.

Is it actually okay to do so? I have both pellets and flakes. Yay! Keep in mind that they don't need to be fed as long as they've got sunlight though. I think it's probably the best for them to have insects but if they really need the extra nutrition, go for it! The fish food won't rot, so if you're having problems with the bugs rotting, and if the fish food is okay, that would be a choice.

I have not yet answered my own question. So is fish food okay for carnivorous plants?

I would say its fine but I have only used it for drosera and nepenthes. I would hold back on vft and maybe sarrs. It would probably work for sarrs though. And for sundews, feeding them actually helps a bunch and the leaves come out larger and faster after being fed. When I didn't feed them in the terrarium they would take forever to get large.

Cool idea, it's a bit easier than having to catch a bug by the antenna.
