Wanted to introduce myself (after lurking for a very long time gathering info on how to take care of VFTs)!

It's been a very very long time since I had a VFT. I bought one from a Wal*Mart when I was fresh out of highschool and had very little knowledge on how to take care of it. It luckily survived the summer but when winter came it went into Dormancy and my mother threw it out because she thought it died. Fast forward to the present: I have 3 kids of my own and want them to exprience the awesomeness of the VFT!

I recently bought a FTS Etna and I LOVE IT!! This is waaay bigger then the VFT I had before and I hope that it stays healthy and strong. Here is a picture I took last week when I unboxed it. I'll upload another pic soon.

Hello and welcome to FlytrapCare :)

We're so happy to hear that you like your new FTS Etna! It looks happy in its new home. It should stay very healthy and strong if it gets proper care (plenty of sunlight, distilled water, etc.). Feel free to ask any questions you may have!

Welcome Koolwalah! Beware, you may become an addict, like the rest of us!

FTS Etna is a great one to start with. Very vigorous, and large traps. I have several, and they are hard to slow down, even after re-potting.
