I was thinking not to use distilled water for the first maybe 7 washes of coco coir. The last 3 washes will be with distilled water. The plain water will be left 24 hours to sit that the iodine and minerals will evaporate from it, maybe some boiling will be used. Should this method work ? As i have already clean a batch of coco coir 10 times with distilled water and i want to use the method described above, with another batch.

I know that a few members here use that method without any problems. Boiling will not help make the tap water any better. Try doing 5 and 5 or something to start and if the PPM is under 50, you don't need to wash and soak anymore. However, if it's over 50, repeat with distilled or other clean water until it drops below 50 :)
