hi, i am going to repot my VTF but i was wondering for the 50/50 mixture, should i use perlite or silica sand??

I personally prefer silica sand instead of perlite. For one thing, it helps keep the medium heavy as it dries which helps stabilize the pot and keep it from falling over in the wind. Even if it were not for that fact I would prefer silica sand, although a mixture of both works very good as well.

50% (by volume) sphagnum peat moss
50% perlite or silica sand or a mixture of both

--is a very common carnivorous plant growing mix/medium
