this is a 1st for me. my N. singalana x aristo had a flowering pod developing...

is there anything I should be aware of when this happens or will the plant be fine after flowering?

You will find out the plants gender, if you want to pollinate get some pollen from someone and don't lose the hybrid

Looks like a female. Can confirm when the flower spike fully emerged. Need to find pollen to pollinate the flowers if you like to get seeds. Unless the plant turns weak or multiple flower spikes appear later, should be fine letting it bloom whether or not pollination takes place.
