I'm so jealous, you have so many cute little seedlings :) I didn't expect VFT to really grow so slow and I've read some where in this forum they look almost the same size after a year but more traps lol. I kinda regret I didn't sow all my seeds at the beginning. Now i only hope the rest of the seeds I've sown 3 weeks ago will germinate soon.

Very cute and healthy little ones you have there :)

FTS really provides extremely viable seeds! Is it possible get seeds with good viability (around 80%-90%) from our own plants by cross-pollinating genetically different VFT's (or different variations of Dionaeas)?

akinkysnorlax, thanks! I simply applied what I red in this wonderfull forum! I admit maybe I get it from my mom and grand dad who really have green thumbs!

Tish, i'm jealous of your photo equipment and talents! I was expecting slow growth but i'm still suprised how well they progress every week. It's so rewarding and interesting to watch them grow!

Hi everyone, Noticed since a couple of days that the cotyledon leafs of my VFT seedlings are blackening a bit on tips. Is this normal? The color of some seedlings look a tad more yellowish than at the begining. Overall the seedlings still look good. I have a hard time judging if they need more/less water. I usually check the weight of the cell tray to know if I should water. Since the roots must still be fairly short, I top water once in a while when the surface starts drying. Am i doing everything right?
