just came across this following plant on ebay



Carnivorous plant Sarracenia Johnny Marr

this clone was made by Matthew Soper of hampshire carnivorous plants and sold on is site 2014
for £25

would you buy this

I would only think about that one of the pitchers turned almost black as they age. As nimbulan says the plant really isn't very impressive. That's not that much for a sarr though, I've seen some go for $1600 US. Now that's a price tag.

One of the main thing you pay for in CPs is time. If that plant sold for 25 3 years ago, 100 could be a fair price. Some species/cultivars really go up in price depending on size, other common/plain ones will max out at a specific price range.

N. loweii is a good example. Small plants sell for $40-$80 but large adults easily sell for $1,200-$1,500.
