will do and the couple traps that are open wont close when seeing if they are hungry...could it be shipping shock or the fact all the other traps are closed?

It's probably just stress or they are just old traps. Let the plant settle in to its new home for a couple weeks before you try to feed it. It'll take just a little while. The flytrapstore VFTs are always very healthy when you receive them.

yeah that works for me...and yeah the flytrapstore hooked it up with a young and 2 starters...totally worth it

Yeah I've gotten 5+ plants in every pot I've ordered from Matt and Leah. They always send extras.

only think i would add is my Akai ryu doesn't like to be moved. The traps get black on the edges if i move it much. Also, It sends out a bunch of new growth every month... maybe 5 traps a month. Its the only red fly trap i have

im going to have to move it twice daily til its fully aclimated to the southern louisiana life....then its gonna be eating gators n shrimp (jk only bugs and or bloodworms lol)

looks like itl take a few weeks to aclimate my red dragon...partly sunny to rain on n off for next 2 weeks lol... has its own umbrella to keep from drowning

so my akai ryu is fully acclimated has new growth on the young plant and 1 of the starters...the other starter has no new growth and all the traps on it r half open half closed and wont take food...if i happen to lose that one i wont be mad cause the other starter is now half the size of the young one...so its a win win even if i lose one, but im not gonna give up on it vftlivesmatter:)
