Hey y'all. I used to be super obsessed with vft's but I moved and i couldn't grow them any longer. I used to grow them outdoors in my backyard however I live in an apartment now and I don't have a backyard or a viable window with a good light source. So I'm attempting to create an indoor lighting fixture for my vft's. I've been doing an immense amount of research but I just need some second opinions!

And I was just thinking about getting those round clamp-on reptile lighting lamps. Is this set up okay? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using something vary similar. If your going to use a reptile dome I would recommend a deep dish dome with a hanging hook so you can use this

I'm curintly using mine to grow a Nepenthes,sundews and a sarracenia purpurea. Hope this helps

Thanks so much for the insight. I was looking at the hanging one but I'll be using it for my vft's and I know the light needs to be fairly close to the plants for optimal usage. Do you keep the lights on a timer to stimulate daylight?

Yes on a 14 hour time spans. The light started is adjustable

I see. Do you grow any vfts at all?

I got two late this year so they wher already dormant so I left them that way
