After paying my bill at Lowe's I wandered over to the plant clearance section and what do you think I found? The deadly terrarium kit including 1sarracenia pitcher plant and a Venus flytrap. Knowing that I couldn't just leave them there to die I did the only thing possible and bought the plants. I have some work to do to save this pair. Need some forum prayers sent my way for Herman and Lily.

I cant help thinking that people should stop buying those from lowes and home depot. All it does is create a demand and that demand means more plants are put into those conditions. I say stop buying them and buy from reputable growers. As for the plants your bought, good luck, you might need it

Easy now stitz. There is nothing wrong with buying CPs from hardware stores. It's all about timing actually

I think that Lowes, Home Depot and even Walmart will always sell these plants as a novelty. .I wasn't looking for healthy plants... I have seen so many posts by caring people that just want to give these plants a fighting chance for a better life rather than a slow drying out death in the cube.

Update on Herman and Lily...Herman did not make it.. But I am happy to report Lily is struggling yet surviving...I put her in the bog...
