Hi everyone, since temperatures in my area are rising quickly (spring is here again ...) my VFT is breaking dormancy and producing new growth :D . My plant is bigger since bought it, so I want to repot in to a bigger pot. But I am not sure which is the best procedure to do so. Two possiblities are:
a) Rinse completely the old media (i.e. bare rooting the VFT) and use new, fresh media to fill the pot
b) Keep the old media around the plant's root ball and just fill the gaps in the pot with the new media.
I want to know which option is best to try (I am specially interested in the safety of the procedure).

Best regards,
Marco V.

These videos explain it better than words can.

In the second video, pay no attention to the glass bowl. Use a plastic pot with drainage holes.

Here's a pic of a recently-potted flytrap that helps show how far into the soil the plant should be. Bury the entire rhizome, but don't bury the growth point.

That's a very concise way of saying that. Thanks! :)
