I have had some plants (VFT, Nep, Drosera, and various seedlings) under one T8 fixture (two bulbs). They seem to be doing well, but I wonder if I should add another fixture to have a total of four bulbs? That way I can mix in a couple of 4500k bulbs to go with my 6500ks.

I have my plants about two or three inches from the lights, BTW.
