I'm in my second adventure in growing carnivorous plants. My first round was a Venus Fly Trap that I overestimated its ability to survive the winter outside.

I discovered carnivorous plants 2 years ago in the most obvious place, a Lowes store. One VFT led to a great interest for me. Since then I moved and bought a house and am turning my extra space into a small jungle.

My current grow list is short:
VFT
Heliamphora Minor
Ping Primulflora
Nepenthes Ventricosa
Drosera Capensis
Utricularia Lavida

It will most likely grow a bit more but I take it slow to see what the wife will let me get away with. My next adventure may be attempting some plants from seed, maybe VFT for the first attempt.

You need a bigger collection, so the wife won't notice when you sneak new plants in. Lol. Welcome to the forums! Are you east or west PA? If you don't mind me asking. There's a whole bunch of us in Northeast Ohio.

Oh yeah, that's a minute away. Lol.

Let us know if you have any questions, that aren't answered readily by a two second search. There's a lot of very generous, knowledgeable growers here that like to help others.

Happy growing!
