Hi
I've been looking into buying a greenhouse lately and i have a couple of questions.

1. Is it better to have crystal clear glass or the glazed or etched glass?

2. I am a carpenter so i would have no prob building a greenhouse but i don't know where to buy the glass (Plastic) custom cut of course.

Can anyone help me out any info would be helpful.

I wouldn't go with a glass greenhouse, but one with UV-coated polycarbonate panels. And if you do go with a glass greenhouse, I'd probably not go with clear glass. I have one greenhouse that has clear panels and that thing gets intensely hot very quickly on sunny days.

I don't know what size greenhouse you're looking for, but the ones from Harbor Freight are a great deal for the money. And with a little extra "carpentry", like a nice foundation made of 4x4s and some extra reinforcement with EMT (electromagnetic tubing), they are just as good as $2000 greenhouses. I have three greenhouses and the last one, my largest one, I did right. I bought this greenhouse:

It was on sale for $699 during the winter and then I had a 20% off coupon, so I got the whole greenhouse for $560!

I followed this blog for building the foundation, reinforcing the frame and adding a fan:

It's an awesome greenhouse and I couldn't be happier with it.
