Flower stalks

I received this flava a week ago and its actively growing 2 flower stalks. It was divided off a 15 year old plant if that makes any difference. Should I trim these stalks off or would it be okay to let them grow? Ive added pictures from a week ago and today.

If you want to, you can cut it off, but i'd keep it on because they look nice and that rhizome looks pretty healthy, so it could handle a few flowers.
