The easiest way to grow new plants is to cut your flower stalks and forget about it. My vfts had a freezing episode in early spring, (still all in a little rough condition) so my decision was to forego flowering and just hope for stalk propagation...wish me luck... :D

Nice , good luck ! Quick question how long does it usually take for a flower stalk to produce a plantlet and can you cut a long stem and plant each piece to get more plants?

Second question, yes cut them into 1" / 1.5" pieces
First question, anywhere from a week to a month and a half I'd say?

So I take it that these flower stalk plants are genetically the same age as the parent plant and once established will grow adult sized traps?

If so that is much better than screwing around for several years nursing seedlings along waiting for them to grow into adult plants.

Venus flytraps formed from flower stalks are exact genetic clones of the parent plant. But age is largely irrelevant when it comes to flytraps other than those started from seed. Once a plant is an adult, it can divide many times and produce small genetically identical divisions for which "age" has no relevance.
