Hi all. I just ordered some U. alpina seeds from the Bank and with a bit of luck I'll be able to get some nice plants going in few months.
I'm planning to grow them in a LFSM/Perlite mix.
My question is, should I be concerned about the ability of the plants to find microorganisms to feed on in this less dense grow mix? Are there any supplements that I should look for?
Other than the accursed U. subulata I have no experience with growing Utricularia, so all advice is welcomed.

As with all plants, they don't need bugs to survive. Bugs are a great supplement, but the plants only need carbon dioxide and sunlight to make all the food they need.

That's what I was looking to do, just throw in some fertilizer. I'm sure they'll be fine. Thanks!
