my D. binata has made a rather special leaf, where its usually T-shaped, this one is more like a H-shape.

would it be possible to cut off the leaf, in the hope it will create mature plants with only H-shaped leaves?

also what would be the best way to let new plants sprout from a leaf cutting, just on top of the regular potting mix or floating on top of water?

D. binata complex plants develop more leaf forks as they grow larger. Even the most profusely-forking plants will still only develop T-shaped leaves while small. That leaf has the same genetics as every other leaf on that plant so it doesn't matter which one you propagate.

Use whichever method you prefer for propagation. D. binata complex plants take from cuttings easily and tend to produce a large number of plantlets compared to other species.
