I have planlets coming from a stalk clipping I took back in February. It took over three months for them to poke up. Now I'm nervous about starting to put them into direct sunlight. Is it better if they get bigger before putting them outside?

The sooner you get it out in better light, the sooner it will begin to grow fast! I'd put it in full shade or under a 40%-50% shade cloth for the first month or two then gradually introduce to full sun.

Do I need to be cautious about the wind? It gets pretty windy here at times.

Warm windy days that are also dry can dry out the soil quickly, so be aware of that. Otherwise, there's nothing to worry about unless the wind is strong enough to blow your pot over.
