I watered my VFT from above a few times close and around the plants, to get rid of algae forming on top of the sphagnum. But the algae still remain, somewhat lighter in color, not darker like before, so now i water the VFT from below, like i do it before. Can i put peat moss or quartz sand (horticultural) above the algae, so the algae dies quickly ? Or should i remove the sphagnum and algae from the pot, a inch or so ? The dead algae will remain always green ?

Try replanting your vtf, and then washing that mix you have potted now.
I heard somewhere that anti fungal might help. But don't hold me liable if it doesn't.
