FlytrapCare Carnivorous Plant Forums

Hey everyone,

I just purchased a Venus Fly Trap, Monkey Cup and a Sundew (they arnt too specific about their plant labeling) from the local nursery. I have been reading a lot about them so I know a little bit of info. My goal would be to put them in an indoor garden under an led and some cfls to catch some bugs but I hear outside is much better and I believe it. I am also wondering weather I should put the FlyTrap outside at least for now because its still around 40 degrees at night (dormancy?).

If it doesn't go below freezing it should be fine outside. If it goes below freezing protect it somehow. Freezing winds will take a toll, keep that in mind.
