One of the new traps on my Dionaea.


What causes the trap to arch in such a way? One of the other traps spine is as straight as a ruler. I get so interested everytime a new trap pops up.



My other flytrap is all over the place at the moment;

Could be a genetic trait. It is a typical ?

I'm not sure what that means, i got them both from the garden center.

Was a hard decision but after not being happy with the state of my repot on the first flytrap, and finding pests in my new flytrap, i decided to repot so that both were in similar sized larger pots. Easier to get the light closer to both of them, and i guess watering would be easier as i could do them both in one tray instead of individually.

Although, not sure if it was a wise decision. I replanted into sphagnum moss and perlite.

My new Dionaea got pretty beat up, but the only way I'm going to learn is by getting my hands dirty.



The old Dionaea does look happier now though. It was a mess before.
