Is algae anything to worry about?
I have a few spots on the soil that are green and my guess is it's algae.

think its just to do with overwatering, as far as i'm aware you can just scrape it off and just try to cut back on excessive watering. Might want to wait for someone with a bit more of experience tho =p

waynetrew has you covered. Algae is usually due to overwatering. Just scrape the algae off the top for now and try keeping the soil a bit drier.
