Hello one and all, im Michael from the fair City of Bristol.

Im new to growing carnivorous plants, have an allotment so plenty of veggies experience!!

Started off with a set of mixed seeds from ebay and my standard VFT. Also got impatient and brought some other seed (SARRACENIA LEUCOPHYLLA) and a pot of small 3/4 year old Drosera MADAGASCARIENSIS plants, although these are yet to arrive....

Have planted all these seeds and have been growing/planted just over 2 weeks
Drosera filiformis;
Drosera intermedia;
Drosera capensis;
Sarracenia purpurea (mixed); - 1 seedling up so far
Sarracenia hybrids (bee pollinated); - 1 seedling up so far
Sarracenia Wrigleyana;
Venus flytraps (mixed) - a few seedlings come up already

Its a start!!

Although mature plants are recommended for beginners new to the carnivorous plant world, it seems that you are doing fine with them since you've got some germination already.
