The fresh Tamlin I sent you could sprout in as little as a couple of weeks, but don't be disappointed if it takes longer. Same for the spat, capi, and tropical intermedia, although the intermedia may be more comfy with a higher than room temperature.
The Capes are, I believe, only a couple of years old, so they may take a couple of weeks longer.
You got this.

Yeeehawwww!!!! Got some Tamlin seed comin'!!!!!!!!! :D :D

Ok, I'll be patient... No, no I won't be, I'll be fussing over them the whole time...but, ain't really a lot I can do to hurry'em up, I guess. Maybe if I had stored them in a #2 mayonnaise jar on Funk and Wagnall's porch since noon the day I planted them they would come up quicker????

Oops. I meant the Beenak that you already have. Sorry, I just had Tamlin on the brain because I had just harvested a stalk.

More of us than we want to admit.

 Ok, the pressure's off...I'll cancel the order for the 1/2 pallet of sphagnum peat moss and 1/2 pallet of perlite I ordered (just wanted to be sure I had enough).<grin>

Old enough? It hasn't been *that* old. :o No need in the #2 mayonnaise jar if I don't have the proper turban...and I've looked everywhere, Walmart, the dollar stores, Dress-for-Less (I mean, ya gotta go to extremes sometimes!). Where is Ed McMahon when you need him??? (Actually he's in a place called "Forest Lawn"...not to be confused with Forrest Gump.) Oh well,....

You can also try @ChefDean's practice for sprouting pygmy sundews. It should hold true for other seeds.

Does it have to be sage?

It's been a week since I planted the seeds...May 18th. And, no, I've been patient and haven't resorted to dancing...yet!!! 8-)

Just kind of plodding along here. A shot of the growing setup and a temperature and humidity graph. I didn't get the thermometer setup until a day or so later, but this is how the temperature and humidity has been...a definite up-and-down cycle!!! :|

The soil doesn't look wet enough (to me). Patience. It can take over 2 months for the seeds to germinate. But they can germinate as early as 2 weeks.

 2 months?! I've never tried sowing seeds in soil before, I've always done it the quick way. 8-)

In case you don't know what the quick way is, it's germination in pure distilled water...
