My Sarracenia x moorei 'Red Velvet' is turning out to be a real beast! It was the second or third Sarr to pop flower buds this spring, but it's bound and determined to be the first to open a new pitcher. The guy who gave me this plant says that his are doing the same thing. It looks like the pitchers will open at the same time as the flowers; I guess it isn't concerned about eating the pollinators.
