Hello, I'm new here, but not so new in VFT's growing. I live in Lithuania, maybe you know my country because of basketball, if not you can find it in the map near the Baltic sea. Winters in Lithuania are pretty cold, 2-3 times through winter temperature drops to -25C (5 climate zone).
My oldest typical VFT belongs to me, for 4 years. All red giant - 2 years, all others I bought last spring.
Today I replanted all my VFT's, so new season begins. All plants were dormancy in glazed balcony, where temperature in winter don't drop below 0C and ranges about 5-10C. This is first season I'll try to grow few plants in sphagnum moss. I've read that in North America it's usual to use this substrate, but in Europe we mostly use a mix of peat, perlite and sand. And it's first year, when I'm using only white pots.
So few my VFT photos. All of them are after dormancy.
1. My oldest typical VFT diveded to 5 plants. And last year I bought prostrate discounted VFT and it dived to 2. Pot of typical VFT (you can see, one has flower stalk). 2. All red giant. 3. Coquillage doesn't look very well, but growing new leaves. As I wrote, one pot is with sphagnum moss ant other a mix of peat, perlite and sand. 4. Cross Teeth. I ordered 1 plant last year, but seller send me 3 and now I have 5. 5. Fused tooth. Looks nice and healthy after winter. 6. Fuzzy tooth, looks fine too. 7. Microdent, one trap is closed, because I've already gave a fly. 8. Big mouth. And kindergarten for little VFT's. 1x microdent, 3x cross teeth, 4x big mouth. This spring I'm planning to buy: Alien, Angel wings, B52, Bohemian garnet, Crested petioles, Cupped trap, Fondue, Korrigans, Low giant, Mirror, Triton,Yellow.
And in the end - sorry for my english
