Here's a picture of a nice D. capensis cultivar. This one is named "Big Pink". It is a vigorous grower and the entire plant colors up nicely under adequate light. This photo was illuminated by my camera's flash. The plant is really this color. Under LED lighting, it looks nightmarishly Red in color.

I bought mine from the guy who discovered and named this clone. I bought this one in July and it has doubled in size since then. Leaves are over 5 inches long. It flowered for me, self pollinated and produced seeds, some of which are in our seedbank. (More coming soon, as soon as I package them up.) Seeds from this plant are not the same as a clone of this plant, but they will probably be close in appearance. That is why the seeds are labelled as D. capensis "Big Pink" x Self.

If you enjoy Cape Sundew varieties, this is a nice addition to your collection.

Good growing,
Mike
