Here is a Drosera adelae "Giant" grown from a flower scape cutting.
This species doesn't self-pollinate and won't produce seed unless you have two different clones. The flowers are small and, I think, not too attractive.
When the developing scape was about 1 1/2 - 2 inches tall, I cut it off and tossed it in a Petri Dish filled with distilled water. After a month or two, a growth bud appeared and a plantlet started to grow. I threw a few snippings of live Sphagnum Moss in the distilled water. Once the moss started to grow, I decreased the water level in the Petri Dish. This was done to encourage root growth in the adelae plantlet.
Yesterday I saw a cute little hair-covered root growing out of the baby Sundew, burrowing into the closest strand of Sphagnum.
I will probably do a giveaway once this plant is large enough to leave home in a few months time.
Good growing,
Mike
