This is my 3rd growing season with these guys, and after nearly killing them with a bad experimental soil mix at the beginning of this season, they've recovered and are looking their best yet!

Looking good! What was wrong with the soil that you had trouble with?

Thanks. I used a sand called "White Lightning Sand" which I thought was silica. After I got a hold of the MSDS sheet from the company I found out it was full of different minerals and ended to getting really bad mineral burn on 'em. They looked like strands of grass with black edges so I figured I had nothing to lose by doing an emergency repotting.
