The genetics vary.
Grown under good light, D. capensis "Red" vary from Red-tinted typicals to plants that are Dark Burgundy.
I've ordered seed from the ICPS Seed Bank and none of them grew into Red plants, so you pays your money and you takes your chances.
But if you don't get any Red plants, I'll send you a replacement pack of seed.
Fair enough?

Order received.
Your order number is 0139
I'll PM you shortly with a mailing address for your SASE.
Thank you for your order.

Good growing,
Mike

i received a second packet in the baggie. it is folded flatly and unlabeled with chinese translations on the inside. the seed material seems to have a lot of dirt mixed in. is this also a capensis red packet?

That is is a second pack of D capensis Red.
The dirt is floral debris, that's how I received the seeds.
I folded the envelope out of household scrap paper.
My wife teaches elementary Chinese, hence the Pinyin.

Good growing,
Mike
