I'd heard rumors around the forums that TJ's has some carnivorous plants and I decided this was my chance to try my hand at some fly traps. I have drosera, pinguicula, and utricularia that are doing well so hopefully these guys will fit in just fine. They look surprisingly healthy to me, and I was able to get them out of their death cylinders relatively unscathed.

Oo, very nice. That right one is particularly nice, and should look amazing once it recovers from the cube. The trap size and coloration are promising.

These mass-produced death cube flytraps can be quite solid plants, especially if gotten before they die back. I've found them at Lowe's and Wal-Mart as well, and under the brand name "little pot of horrors" from a local garden center. They can often be worth buying, especially if you find still-living ones put on the discount shelf at Lowe's for looking tattered, to see what they develop into.
