A favorite of everyone at FlytrapStore.com, Jaws is a vicious looking large-trapped Venus Flytrap, the result of a cross between Dentate Traps and a vigorous unnamed Flytrap. In addition to the traps being extra-large, they are often a deep, bloody red, especially into the Summer. Jaws is an attractive upright grower (when not Dormant).
Note: Interestingly, the saw-tooth development for Jaws is seasonal, showing up most strongly in the Summer.

Nice, Healthy and HUNGRY!!This guy is my expert hornet catcher!! He has a pretty pinkish color on the trap interiors. He really reminds me of The Professor from Gilligan's Island because what he does he does great!! The rest could learn a thing or 2 from The Professor!

Great-looking plant with awesome sellers!I ordered my Jaws plant(young-size)and it was my first plant ever ordered from the FTS!And I have to say,I will probably be making many more orders from them later this year.The plant was packaged so nicely in a litthe box.On the inside,I found it very nicely potted with a little cup out over it with some saran wrap and packing tape.When I took it off,both the peat and the plant were completely intact!As for the plant itself,it looks awesome,and was much bigger than I had imagined(already had 1 inch traps),and it had already cloned itself,with a bunch of cute baby traps clumping under it.Two plants for 1,I guess!The serrated tooth had already taken effect,and I am hoping for them to become even more serrated!The inside of the traps were green,but I did not worry about that since they were in transit for a while without light.The trigger hairs were already red,though,and the trap is reddening by the day outside in the sun!I can't wait to repot them during dormancy this year,and get the baby clones I was hoping for!A++ packing and plant,also be sure to check out the flytrapcare.com forums,as Matt and leah,the owners of this company,also run the website.Keep up the work Matt and Leah!

Not as good as other reviewsI ordered a starter Jaws, only with one big trap, the rest small. The instructions say RO water and outside with lots of sunlight. Already not looking too good. One developing trap is dying, as well as a really small developing trap. All the traps are dying. It’s probably to do with that I live in Arizona, with high temperatures and low humidity, but still, really disappointed.

Healthiest so farI’ll start out by saying that the FTS is by far THE best place to order your plants. I’ve bought from numerous suppliers and none have the same quality of care and packaging. Shipping is just hands down the fastest.
Jaws has been a delight thus far. I haven’t spent the winter with him yet, but it looks like he’s strong enough to endure.
I will say, it’s a very straight forward cultivar, meaning not very flashy with color and not finicky. However, the traps are impressive in size and looks hungry all the time, which is enjoyable to see. He acclimated very fast, faster than any other thus far, which I think may be a testament to the quality of the FTS plants.
I’m a B52 lover, but Jaws is a great plant for anyone who enjoys these guys. My daughter’s favorite because he looks like he can eat anything!
I’d definitely recommend to give Jaws a try.Posted on

More Than ExpectedAs one of my first two plants I ordered, we were greatly surprised. I ordered the starter plant potted expecting a few traps, but it arrived with at least 15 traps and new ones growing. It shipped on Friday and arrived on Saturday. It came in very securely wrapped and protected. Very pleased and will order from them again.
