Bunches o' SeedlingsI planted half of these seeds without stratification, half with. I had about one-hundred percent germination either way (i.e. highly viable seed). Each planting currently has between 40 and 55 seedlings right now, making for a total of about 80-110 seeds per one "50 seed" order.
Viable? Yes. Numerous? Yes. Bargain? YES.

Wow! Thanks so much!I placed an order for 50 of these, and probably got between 2 and 3x as many! I put about 2/3 of the order into cold stratification immediately (about 3 weeks ago) and sowed the rest of long fiber sphagnum moss, and I already have one sprout (as I understand, it is not uncommon for these to take 4-8 weeks to sprout!) I'm SO excited, because there are a couple of others that appear to be "trying" to sprout (you can see the plant emerging, but the leaves haven't made it out of the seed yet!) and they're in general doing really well. I can't wait until next week or so to get the others out of the fridge and sow them as well! Thank you!!!

OMFGI didn't think much of this order, but when these seeds came I got probably 2X what I ordered, and many many germinated, I didn't use cold strat either, lovely these guys are slow growers but hey if you've got some time, it's definately worth it!!!!
