Very well mixedOrdered this mix as I do not have in my area. It came very well and balanced mixed. Overall very happy with it, the sand in the mix looks llike the right size for the plants I want to pot. i just rinsed once in boiling distill water just to be sure.

Best VFT InvestmentDon't waste your time trying to find all the ingredients and then taking a chance at best for growing your VFT. I'd highly recommend buying this soil from these guys. The soil is already mixed in perfectly, the shipping is fast and free, and best of all, if you're thinking it might not be enough, trust me there is more than plenty enough, I had to go buy more pots but that's not a bad thing!

ImpressedWith this stuff, I have high confidence in the successful rearing my Typical Flytraps. I had three plants that self were propagating. I have given away six of the new growths and still have four to keep for myself. Three of the most mature ones have their own four inch pots. 6 yearlings are snug in their own three inch pots, and I have only used about a third of my box. This soil retains moisture better than I expected, so I don't water as often. I was looking into making my own mix, but I would have a wheelbarrow full of mix for three times the cost, because everything is sold in huge bags around here. This is well worth the price and convenience. There are some tiny chunks of wood and a few small sticks in my box. I took them out as I was potting my plants, but it probably wouldn't matter if I left them in. I will buy this again, when I need more. I gave five stars.

Good Venus Fly Trap potting soilAs people have said, you *could* try to grab all the ingredients separately and attempt to mix this yourself, but honestly, it's a lot easier buying from people who know and love what they're doing. I feel confident my Venus Fly Traps will do well in this soil.
Save yourself the hassle, time, and work by getting some of this soil. You get so much (leftover) you may consider growing even more plants!Posted on

Quality Soil at a Good PriceThe box was exactly the size they said it would be and it was full to the brim with soil. My flytrap has been in there about a week or two and loves it. I still have a ton of soil left, so I imagine I'll be able to plant may. The handwritten note on the receipt was the icing on the cake, and the Flytrap Store should know that they have earned another loyal customer.

Worth the investmentLet's face it, carnivorous plants were meant to grow in very specialized conditions (that we try to mimic)... perhaps most importantly, their soil substrate. Sure, toil & stress yourself out by trying to create your own soil mixture, but why not be certain by purchasing this miracle mix? The cost is fair and quality unmatched, supplied by the carnivorous plant experts themselves. My own VFTs & sundews potted in this have survived with some thriving, as they decline into dormancy. Going to buy 2 huge bags of this mixture to spawn more King Sundew seedlings (has proven successful) -- they seem to enjoy this soil substrate immensely... plus with free shipping... why are ya waiting? : )

Awesome soil substrate!!Also received a black "trash bag" of soil... it's awesome soil, and has been used to supplement my potted VFTs and also raise Drosera regia (king sundew) seedlings successfully. I highly recommend buying this mixture!

GreatI got a flytrap on amazon and it was in good shape when I got it. After 2 weeks I bought this soil and re potted to a 6.9 inch pot with built in self water tray. In one week it has grown alot more the the crappy soil it was shipped planted in.
This site I would have to say has at least 50 times more info then every other website I looked at put together. Thanks for the great soil and all the great info!Posted on

ALLOT MORE THAN EXPECTED EXELENT!!!!!I ordered this thinking it would only be enough for about 4 or 5 mature plants but when it got here it was a Massive trash bag with obout 15-20Lb of a nice loose sandy feeling medium that could probobly be enough for 20 plants I am beyond satisfied.
