FantasticJust had one big problem though. I got a bunch of DC XL's instead of one...hahaha. Thought I would start off with a joke. I also bought a B52 and it had several plants as well! Both were starter plants and I'm very impressed with their sizes. Add the fact that there were several plantlets to each, I'm one happy camper.
This place is fantastic. I don't know which thing to praise more about; the quality of the plants they sell or their customer service. I asked if I could get the B52 and DC XL about the same size because my son wanted to see which would grow bigger and they got him two rhizomes that were virtually identical.
I can see why people wait for these plants to become available when they are out of stock rather than going to another store.Posted on

Not so big yetI had the DC XL for a few months now and they are not growing. I know these are starter plants so they are young and couple of years from flowering but my other VFT are doing fine. I will wait till the end of May to see if the plant comes of dormancy and grow big traps. I paid over $50 for it so I expected more. For now I give it 3 stars if things change then I give it another review, hopefully a higher rating.

Also, please keep in mind that your DC XL has been dormant the entire time that you've had it, and very little visible growth occurs during dormancy. The best VFT ever!!!I have bought many plants from these guys. My wife bought me the DCXL for valentines day. Even though I got a dormant plant( as expected in Feb) was in great shape. The only thing I don't understand is that the bareroot cost more than potted, I have never seen this on this site. Very robust even dormant. Already getting color in window. Can't wait to get it outside in Texas sun.

best around compared to otherI would recommend everyone to buy here. Fast shipping, everything was packed nicely and don't have dirt everywhere. I have buy from a lot of different places and this one right here is where ill be ordering from now on. Plants was in good shape, with nice letter and instructions inside on how to raise the plants for beginners. Thank you and I can't wait to buy some more plant from you guys.

Awesome quality and generosity (rec'd 2 plants from a 1 plant order)I'm basically repeating what everyone else is saying. Fast ship, packaged with care, plants were healthy, and there were 2 plants wrapped together! These are described as "starter plants" but both plants had 3 roots each that were 5 inches long. I was thinking they would be little seedling plantlets and was surprised to see they are 1-year-olds.
Don't be deterred by the prices. If you read about what's involved with propagating these things in the lab so that you get the exact plant you want, you'll understand how much work Matt has saved us all. The end result is that you get to sit back relax and choose the exact plant(s) you want! Well worth the money!Posted on

You don't find generosity like that these days anymore...Now, I was expecting a small and dormant plant; which, had I received that, I would have been ecstatic to say the least because of the opportunity of being able to own one of these beauties, take care of her, and watch her grow over the years. What I was NOT expecting was your generosity! Who has your awesome business practices these days?!? These folks blessed me with 8, yes 8!, of these plants! Granted they are not 2.5" trap and huge, "out of the box," however, this is even BETTER because I am going to have TRAPS COMING OUT OF MY EARS!!!! WOO HOO!!!! (THANK YOU)^INFINITE POWER!!! I AM TOTALLY GOING TO BE DOING AS MUCH BUSINESS THROUGH YOU FOLKS AS I CAN IN THE FUTURE! I am one step closer to my dream of opening a "Lil Shop of Horrors" up here in Seattle. Couldn't be happier!The first word that came out of my mouth when I opened the package was "Wow!". The plant was carefully packaged with care and securely attached to the inside of the package. The plant was shipped promptly with a nice little hand-written note. I knew instantly I was handling a plant that was given a lot of attention and care; the work of a professional. The DC XL's instantly took off as soon as I potted them. If I was going to buy another carnivorous plant, the first place I would go looking is here! Thank you so much Matt, Leah, and Steve! Excellence all the way aroundYou guys ROCK!!! I have been waiting for DCXL for quite a while. When I noticed they were finally back in stock I immediately placed an order. It came in two days! When I opened the package, the first thing I noticed was how robust this plant was. It had about 25 traps on it! When I unwrapped the roots, not only were they the healthiest I have seen, the "one" plant I ordered was actually FOUR small plants! All of them with seperate, healthy root systems. I will definitely be ordering my flytraps from Flytrapstore from now on! Thank you so very much!
